With more than twenty years of experience in higher education, Jacquelyn Demps-Muhammad has built a career centered on enrollment management, honors education, and student success. As Assistant Director of the Clara I. Adams Honors College at Morgan State University, she helps lead scholarship stewardship, strategic student-success initiatives, and program development for high-achieving scholars.
Creating Pathways to Opportunity
A doctoral candidate in Higher Education, Mrs. Muhammad focuses her research and leadership on equitable access, student engagement, and strengthening pathways to degree completion. Throughout her career, she has expanded opportunities for first-generation and transfer students through leadership development, academic programming, and culturally enriching experiences.

Known for her thoughtful leadership and commitment to community advocacy, Mrs. Muhammad brings strategic insight, mentorship, and financial stewardship experience to the HLM Foundation. Her work continues to empower students to achieve both academic excellence and personal growth.Currently pursuing her doctorate in Developmental Psychology at Capella University, Alia continues to champion research, staff development, and equity-driven educational transformation while mentoring the next generation of educational leaders. Through her leadership in higher education and community engagement, Mrs. Muhammad remains committed to building inclusive opportunities that support students throughout every stage of their collegiate journey.
